About the Race
The Vert180 is a 180 minute race with the winner being the person or team with the most vertical at the end of the 3 hours. Pairs and teams race as a relay. Racers use alpine touring equipment, telemark, or split boards to climb uphill and ski down. Skins are used for climbing and removed for the downhill. XC skis are not allowed. The course will have a short boot pack section where racers must attach there skis to their backpack and hike. After 180 minutes, we stop the race and count up all the laps and meet in the lounge for food and prizes.
